Being a senior citizen is not a disease, it is a success story. We are still alive and the riders among us are healty enough to still be riding. Being one myself, and knowing many others in my age group who still hunt, I can say that with some authority. Being a senior citizen who still rides, and enjoys it, should be grounds for accolades, not not for what comes across as being somewhat on the negative side, especially from someone who might have done better to have read all the posts from this topic. That having been said, we are more fragile than those youthful (to us) 40 & 50 somethings, and we do have to be more careful of which challenges we take on, and how we deal with them. That is practical common sense, not lack of knowledge or horsemanship expertise.
