This is an older style Bates saddle, manufactured in 2000. The seat size measures 46 cm (18″). There are some cosmetic flaws given the age, however, they are all covered by saddle flaps or the rider’s legs when using.
The saddle is fitted with the easy change gullet system which allows the saddle to fit practically any horse with the right gullet size. The black ‘medium’ gullet is currently installed and fits my high-withered thoroughbred well. Additional gullets can be purchased online for cheap.
Included with the purchase of the saddle is a Bates saddle cover, a navy blue saddle pad, a nice pair of irons and leathers, a girth, and a brand new bottle of leather cleaner. I am asking $900 OBO. I can deliver anywhere between Eugene, Oregon and Yacolt, Washington or ship at the buyer’s expense.
