first time mare nursing?

    ok,so my mare is going to have a baby for the first time and i was wonder whats i good way to calm her down if she get kinda mad when the foal, starts to suckle. I read that mares who get more attention, is better with the foal and when you aqpproch it.so any good ideas she is going to coming sunday so i need answers fast…please it would help alot:)

    I would say-take a deep breath, sit back & see what happens. It is amazing how they know/figure out (most of the time) how to be a momma. IF there seems to be some problems, probably you will need to contact your vet.
