Hello all! My neighbor gave me a bag of Strategy-she is moving & got rid of all her horse “stuff”—I have never fed Strategy & don’t know if it is a good fit for my 2 horses. I have an 11 yr old OTTB mare & a 9 yr old QH gelding. They are both in light work (& only going to get lighter as winter comes on) live outside 24/7, are easy keepers, & right now they each get a scoop of Nutrena safe choice original, along with their SmartPak supplements once a day. Any thoughts anyone has on Strategy would be greatly appreciated! :)

What strategy is it? Edge or the basic?
If it’s the basic, it’s a lot like the safe choice.
If it’s the Edge, last time I used the edge it was more of a wet grain.
you can always just throw in a handful on top of the safe choice.
Or donate it to someone else haha.

It’s not a bad grain. Personally I like the safe choice over the strategy.

I am guessing its the basic. It came in a trash can labeled Strategy and that’s what she told me it was. It is pellets. Thanks for your in put!

most of the horses in my barn are on strategy. Its a great feed. My young TB choked on it however and she is now on Sentinel LS. As an extruded feed they can’t choke on it
