I have an 18 year old quarter horse, diagnosed with:
“Navicular disease RF, coffin joint disease (arthritis vs collateral ligament injury). Prognosis for returning to soundness is guarded.”
He is pasture sound, but limps under saddle.
Therapeutic shoeing has had no impact.
Question: Has anyone tried the new “Easy Boots” for this type of lameness?
I currently, do not ride him and cannot afford to have 2 horses. Giving him away is not an option as most Pasture Pets end up at a slaughter house. I am in my early seventies and I worry that if I don’t keep riding, my riding future is doubtful.
