I usually just use hoof dressing to shine up my horses feet before stepping in the ring but they naturally get all dusty because it is sticky. Does anyone have any other ideas to get that shine in the ring minus the dust and stickiness?
I use absorbine shine and the key is to wait until it’s dry, buff it, then go. Has to be removed with liniment or alcohol, but is so shiny and also long as you follow up with a good conditioner like farrier’s fix, it doesn’t harm it. My horse had awful tb feet, and even after we’ve gotten them good with farrier’s formula supplements, the shine hasn’t been damaging. Keratex can also be buffed to a good shine.
