My horse has a shoe boil… He has to have shoes,so taking them off is not an option. Normally he has a little calus/flaky skin on his elbow but nothing worse. I have been told to just let it run its course ,because it can get infected really easily. I put more bedding in his stall ,so maybe that would help. I was also wondering can I ride him while he has a shoe boil? Will moving help it at all?
    Thanks!

I bought a shoe boil boot , so hopefully that helps. It is ring shaped and goes around the pastern….this can also be made with a towel and duct tape. Also I rode him today, and he was fine (I just put the cinch a tiny bit father back just in case it hit the boil. Just letting everyone know who might need to in the future).
