Tryptophan – ok to show?

    Can someone please set the record straight? IS tryptophan show legal?

    Tryptophan is not a banned substance for USEF. Any substance that is used with the intent to alter the horse’s behavior would be considered illegal though, regardless of it’s status on any list.

    I didn’t see any harm in throwing in the “why” in case the OP found themselves looking at the banned substances list and didn’t see tryptophan. But yes, your answer is correct and I didn’t intend to make it sound otherwise so my apologies.
