Zip is a 10 year old, approx 14hh QH. We bought him for our boys 5 years ago, but alas-they have shown little to no interest in the “horse” thing, so we have decided it is time to find him a new home. He came to us being ridden Western; I have been riding him English & he completed a semester of an English riding class at our local Jr college last spring-jumping 18 inches & very brave! He has been to Police Mounted Patrol School 2x, been roped off of (in an arena during a roping class), jumps, trail rides, been ridden in our local fair parade, has been used for police patrol in our local park a few times the last 3 summers, easy keeper, usually pretty low on the totem pole as far as his place in the herd. Walks onto the trailer by himself, clips, stands for the farrier & the vet. He would do best with an experienced, confident, kind child or small adult-he needs a job & a loving home is a must! Located in central Wyoming. UTD on everything. Please feel free to text me with any other ? or to hear more about him. He is a registered Buckskin, but is very, very dark–called a “sooty” buckskin. 307-240-7845 Kristen

    Hi G & S-
    Yes! Still available, asking $4000…

    He has 2 youtube videos:

I think he would be so cute as a Pony Club pony—our local DC came out & took a look at him & gave me that idea. He does need a fair amount of leg, so probably not a beginners horse—-unless for walk/trot. He doesn’t really care about going fast. **RE: trail riding—he doesn’t seem to find trail riding relaxing, he sort of seems like he thinks it is a waste of time. It could be because I ride out alone & have to ride along a road to get to the trails–we don’t like it when big trucks drive by without slowing down! I think with another experienced trail horse on an actual bridle path, that would probably help.** Would be cute for lead-line pony too. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for the fast reply. I’m sure he is worth the price, but that is seriously beyond my budget. Plus I am looking for a pony that can deal with clumsy beginners, and who will enjoy trail rides, camping, etc. Also, I would have to factor in the price of getting from Michigan to Wyoming to see him in person, plus the cost shipping to Michigan, or bringing a trailer with us. Zip sounds near perfect for an already experienced young rider looking for a 2nd bigger pony, and whose dream is to have a winning & handsome show pony.

    Hi G & S-
Thanks for letting me know. I think he would take grand advantage of beginner riders, especially on the trail. 🙁
Thanks for the inquiry & best of luck!
